About Mind Well Method

"The greatest discovery of my time is that human beings
can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of the mind."

William James

The Mind Well Method is a unique methodology combining the ancient art of Hypnotherapy and creative visualization while supporting the client's own personal journey into the subconscious mind. This technique allows us to create a safe collaboration and healing journey to understand the inner workings of one's own thoughts. While working together and setting clear intentions, this method reinforces positive thinking. This self driven detective work is intended to identify and declutter the unconscious thought patterns while administering new suggestions and support a positive attitude of well-being at the source of the individual.

Just like hiring a physical trainer when wanting to improve the function and look of the body, the Mind Well Method is a lifelong awareness exercise and training of our thoughts. Our ability and immediacy to change our thinking is the key to success and happiness in life. Our thoughts literally become our reality, by making the choice to change our thinking, we immediately redirect our future in the present moment and have the opportunity to instill the habit of continual positive change. Future life desires command focus and discipline to actualize the outside manifestation of an inner vision. This technique keeps the client "on track" by training the mind's most valuable traits, our attention and focus. This is an emotional frequency upgrade of thinking.

This technique works through the constant "awareness of thinking." By understanding where our subconscious mind goes, we have the opportunity in the moment to change the trajectory of unproductive thought while replacing the thought with a desired outcome. True healing comes from the direct experience with the unhealed decision and choosing another direction. Our lives are determined within the present moment...not in the past or in the future. This method is designed to give skills to the client for continual self-awareness and self growth in a positive, desired goal oriented way. Your thoughts create your reality! By allowing oneself to enter a safe place to identify, examine, redirect, reinforce and recommit, the process will unfold organically to allow one to release and reset the thinking.

The word "hypnosis" comes from the Greek word hypnos, meaning "sleep." Hypnosis or hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and exercises which focus attention to achieve a highly focused state of mind or awareness of another altered state of consciousness, also known as trance. A person in a deeply focused state experiences responsiveness to ideas and images. In other words, we come into contact with a heightened state of clarity and focus without disruptive thinking....inner clarity! This highest state "gama" brain wave state, allow the client to pinpoint internal dialog and creativity.

Throughout history, trance states have been used by shamans and ancient peoples in rituals and religious ceremonies. In Ancient Greece and Egypt, there were sleep empires where people were relaxed into a trance and priests/priestesses whispered messages of healing to the sick. Hypnosis today was first associated with the work of an Austrian physician named Frank Anton Mesmer who lived during the 1700's. The term "mesmerized" comes from his name. But the medical community was not convinced and viewed his techniques as unscientific. James Braid (1795-1860) a Scottish surgeon became regarded by many as the first genuine "hypnotherapist" and "Father of Modern Hypnotism."

In the mid 1900s, Milton Erikson (1901-1980) an American psychiatrist used hypnosis in his practice and his success with it brought it into the mainstream. In 1955, the British Medical Association approved the use of Hypnotherapy. Even the Pope approved the use of hypnotherapy in 1956. In 1958, both the American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association approved the use of hypnotherapy as well. Since 1995, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has recommended hypnotherapy as a treatment for chronic pain.

Staying positive allows our dreams to be realized by taking responsibility for our "energetic space." Positive thinking is a frequency that attracts the same frequency. By understanding the difference, we can choose and decide to constantly stay in a "teaching space" of life versus a victim mentality. The outside view of your life is a direct correlation of your inner thoughts you think of others and the thoughts you tell yourself about you. Staying positive can be learned and practiced continually with training and practice!

Awareness takes practice, a lot of it! You can learn to create this "positive habit" for the rest of your life! Every thought can be changed by finding the root of the decisions which took our thinking into an unhealthy, separate realm. All feelings and thinking can be changed with "catching it in the moment" and choosing a different thought and reinforcing it through repetition. Just like the choice to go to the gym on a regular basis will help you become physically stronger, this method, when reinforced, changes our emotions to a more positive state. The entire process comes from choice...you can choose to change your thinking if you really want to. Paying attention to how we feel is the first step.

Hypnotherapy is maximized through the minimum of 6 sessions due to the reinforcement of new positive behavior, however, any amount of sessions can benefit the client with a greater awareness of themselves. Some clients wish to continue the process with additional sessions to "reinforce" and be supported through a new process within their thinking. Just like rings of a tree, we have gathered many experiences over time. The key is to consistently stay in a grateful state and train our minds to remember the "gifts" of our lives. A slight tilt of the thinking allows for new possibilities in mind and through practice, these new insights are nurtured to take root in our subconscious. Additional sessions will be available for the full life of the client if that is what they feel that they need to continue to grow spiritually. The amount of sessions required varies depending upon each person and where they are in the relations to reaching their goal. Some people may just need a slight nudge in the right directions while others may need a little more introspection and clarity to reach alignment. However the average person reaches their goals in 6 - 10 sessions.
